Cadasta Foundation is Accepted as a Member of the International Land Coalition

Cadasta is pleased to have been accepted as a member of the International Land Coalition (ILC). ILC is a global alliance of civil society and intergovernmental organizations working together to put people at the center of land governance. The shared goal of ILC’s members is to realize land governance for and with people at the country level, responding to the needs and protecting the rights of women, men, and communities who live on and from the land.

With the latest addition of new members, the ILC network now embraces 262 members in 78 countries. Together the members of the Coalition work to bring about people-centred land governance.

As an organization that shares ILC’s vision of a just, equitable, and inclusive world in which land rights are secure and poverty is eradicated, Cadasta is thrilled to support the Coalition and engage in activities that strengthen and help fulfil its objectives which closely align with our own.

We look forward to connecting with other members for mutual learning and joint action. ILC presents an unparalleled opportunity to expand our network and learn from the Coalition’s regional land experts and the individuals and communities with which they work and represent. Their sharing of insights and experience is critical as we continue to build a technology tool set, and knowledge sharing ecosystem, that can contribute to global efforts to better document land and other resource rights of citizens from vulnerable and other marginalized groups left out of formal tenure systems.  We also look forward to meeting other members in person at the Global Land Forum in Bandung this September.
