Project with Cadasta
Daemeter was contracted by The Zoological Society of London to provide services relating to the Kelola Sendang Traceability Demonstration Pilot Project in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra with funding from UK aid. The KELOLA Sendang project aims to address the challenges of deforestation, peatland degradation, wildfires and their associated climate impacts within the context of green growth and biodiversity conservation. The project supports the government, private sector and local communities, to pilot a sustainable management partnership model across the Sembilang-Dangku landscape of South Sumatra, an important habitat for Sumatran tigers and other wildlife.
Cadasta has supported the Daemeter’s involvement in the KELOLA Sendang project by designing custom data collection forms, training Daemeter and local government staff in mobile data collection, and providing a custom smallholder mapping mobile application for South Sumatra.
