Two Former Volunteers Join Our Team as Consultants

Cadasta is delighted to welcome two new consultants to our team. Diana Kyalo and Deborah Haggith Jepkoech joined our team as interns last spring and will continue to work with Cadasta as consultants. They are based in East Africa and bring an impressive level of land rights and technology expertise as well as unique perspectives on regional and women’s empowerment issues.

Diana Kyalo serves as an Assistant Program Specialist where she works with Cadasta partners to design field collection surveys and provides training on technology and data collection approaches as well as general partner support. She also provides support to the technical support team and helps troubleshoot partner’s technical issues. At the moment, Diana is working on several projects across the African continent. Commenting on her new role, Diana said, “I love building tech solutions for partners and training them on how to use the solutions to advance the process of securing land and natural resources rights.”

Deborah Haggith Jepkoech serves as a Technical Consultant where she works with the Cadasta Technology and Programs teams to produce maps using ArcGIS, designs hubsites and dashboards, creates partner data collection forms, and works with partners to ensure project success. Currently, Deborah is working on a number of projects including working with the Liberian Land Authority to ensure communities have a platform to store, monitor, and analyze data on land interventions in Liberia. When asked about what she enjoys most about working at Cadasta, Deborah said, “The most exciting part of working in Cadasta is working across time zones with different partners. It is also a great learning experience as the solutions we hope to offer are not universal and are uniquely applied in a broader sense of systems and workflows.”

Cadasta is thrilled to welcome Diana and Deborah as consultants to our team. Together, they offer an impressive level of ideas, experience, and energy that will serve our team and partners well.
