Marco is a Systems Engineer with 21+ years of experience in GIS, software development, and land administration solutions. He joined Cadasta as a GIS Business Analyst, supporting partners through technical assistance, data analysis, and implementation of geospatial tools. Throughout his work, Marco has delivered hands-on training and practical guidance to Indigenous Peoples and local communities, helping them map and protect their lands and natural resources. He combines strong technical skills with a collaborative leadership approach to strengthen partner capacity, improve internal workflows, and translate field realities into usable data products and decision-ready insights. His work spans dashboards, data models, automation, and partner-facing documentation to support monitoring, reporting, and sustainable adoption. Before Cadasta, Marco worked on land administration and technology projects in Bolivia, the Bahamas, the United States, Nicaragua, Angola, Afghanistan, and Nigeria. He holds a degree in Systems Engineering and an Associate’s degree in Web Development and Telecommunications.
