Centering Women in Land Rights

Gender equity is core to the program:

Building Long-Term Capacity

Through direct support, partners are building sustainable systems and skills:

These investments ensure communities can manage their own data, advocate for recognition, and scale their work long after the program ends.

Driving Systems Change

The program connects community action with government reform to shape more transparent and inclusive land systems:

India

Pradan and Arch-Vahini collaborate with state officials to advance the implementation of the Forest Rights Act.

Ghana

COLANDEF’s tools gained approval from national surveyors for community mapping.

DRC

SPFA’s work led to the creation of a new provincial land office.

“Having the government officials use and test the tool themselves… helped secure buy-in and approval to proceed.”
COLANDEF,
Ghana
