2024 Annual Report
Cadasta’s 2024 Annual Report, highlighting how communities around the world are using data, technology, and partnerships to claim their land, protect their forests, and invest in their futures. The report spotlights powerful stories from communities around the world, where local partners are using Cadasta’s platform to protect forests, safeguard Indigenous territories, and improve livelihoods. It also showcases the importance of data sovereignty, capacity building, and climate-smart land documentation. With an eye on trust, sustainability, and equity, Cadasta continued to push the boundaries of what’s possible when communities are equipped to map their own futures.
2023 Annual Report
Highlights include the launch of the Land for Climate and Forest Rights Program, bridging community and government efforts to formalize customary land in Uganda, partnerships to support Indigenous Communities in Myanmar and Peru, and advisory services to governments in Togo and Malawi. With an unwavering commitment to equity and sustainability, Cadasta aims to continue its impactful work, forging partnerships, and empowering communities to secure their land rights.

2021 Annual Report
2021 was an exciting year for growth for Cadasta. Given the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, we embarked on a strategic review of our progress, set an audacious long-term goal, focused our sectoral and geographic efforts, and updated our resource strategies. As a result, we reached nearly 6 million people in 43 countries on our platform, strengthening their land and resource rights.
2020 Annual Report
2020 was a year like no other. The devastating impacts of COVID-19 on communities around the world laid bare the deep and systemic racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic inequalities facing our societies, including one billion people needing a secure, decent place to live without fear of eviction or loss.
2019 Annual Report
In 2019, Cadasta launched its 2.0 platform and worked in 25 countries on 77 projects in our mission to defend land and property rights for vulnerable communities.
2018 Annual Report
Over the course of 2018, we have grown our networks, partnerships, and the number of households and people documented on the Cadasta platform, reaching over 1 million people by year’s end.
2017 Annual Report
The year 2017 marked a period of significant organizational growth for Cadasta Foundation. We emerged from a stage of design and building, to one in which we are fully implementing projects with partner organizations around the world.

As Cadasta moves into an exciting phase of growth and uptake of our technology by partners working in the field, we can look back at our programmatic and technological achievements in 2016 as providing the backbone for the exciting path we are now on.
2015 Annual Report
2015 marked the first year of operations for Cadasta Foundation. By necessity, foundational activities permeated their way through nearly all of our administrative, programmatic and technology operations.
