This month marked CEO and President Amy Coughenour’s 5th year at Cadasta Foundation. Under her leadership, Cadasta has documented 6.6 million people in 47 countries, setting the foundation for a more prosperous and stable life for over 1.3 million families living in 4,400 communities.

In 2022, Cadasta expanded its global reach to 46 countries, reaching over 6.3 million people. Working alongside 101 implementing partners, we equipped communities with our tools and training, strengthening tenure security, fostering gender equality, and empowering Indigenous Peoples and local communities.

In July of this year, the David Weekley Family Foundation renewed and increased its grant funding in support of Cadasta’s vision to build a world where even the most marginalized individuals and communities can benefit from the opportunities afforded by secure land and resource rights.

Impact Insights from the Field
As part of a systematic effort to learn directly from our partners and community landholders using and benefiting from Cadasta’s Platform and services, Cadasta commissioned an independent, third-party impact assessment to better understand how our tools and services for mapping and documenting land and resource rights are impacting people’s lives in India.
Introducing the Global Impact Dashboard 2.0!
Cadasta is pleased to announce the release of our new Global Impact Dashboard (GID). Designed with our partners’ needs in mind, the GID makes it easier than ever to visualize and share the land and resource rights data collected using Cadasta’s Platform and suite of tools.
Covering New Terrain in the Fight for Land Rights!
As we release Cadasta’s Annual Report this year, we are reminded more than ever of the importance of fighting for racial, gender, economic, and social justice in land rights around the world. People left out of formal land systems and denied the right to own, use, and occupy land, housing, and natural resources face a lifetime of exclusion, discrimination, and disenfranchisement.
