Munehiko Joya is a seasoned international civil servant and corporate responsibility pioneer with a distinguished career spanning leadership roles at the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Global Green Growth Institute, and Hitachi, Ltd. He has guided financial strategy and governance in complex global institutions and played a key role in UN reform efforts, including co-sharing the Treasury Community of Practice for the “Delivering as One” initiative.

Munehiko currently serves as President of Associazione Giapponese Per l’Istruzione Scolastica (AGIS), overseeing Japanese educational institutions in Rome, and is a passionate advocate for sustainability, education, and global citizenship.
