Project with Cadasta

HFH LAC is using data systems and digital tools to strengthen disaster response, recovery monitoring, and housing resilience across 10 countries.
In a region where millions face overlapping risks from natural disasters and poor housing conditions, Cadasta and Habitat for Humanity Latin America and the Caribbean (HFH LAC) are collaborating to shift from reactive emergency relief to long-term resilience and housing justice. Through two flagship initiatives—Disaster Response, Recovery, and Resilience (DR3 LAC) and “100 Mil Pisos para Jugar” (“100,000 Floors to Play On”)—the partnership is transforming how disaster data is collected, managed, and acted upon. Disaster Response, Recovery, and Resilience (DR3 LAC)

The Caribbean and broader LAC region are increasingly vulnerable to frequent and severe natural disasters. Through the DR3 strategy, Cadasta is supporting HFH LAC to build and implement a scalable digital infrastructure that enables local teams to act quickly and strategically throughout the disaster cycle.

With Cadasta’s technical support, HFH LAC is embedding digital systems into two flagship initiatives—Disaster Response, Recovery, and Resilience (DR3 LAC) and “100 Mil Pisos para Jugar” (“100,000 Floors to Play On”).

Disaster Response, Recovery, and Resilience (DR3 LAC):
HFH LAC is building a scalable digital infrastructure that enables local teams to respond strategically across all stages of the disaster cycle. Through mobile surveys, unified data models, and real-time dashboards, HFH teams are now equipped to rapidly assess damage, monitor reconstruction, and coordinate housing recovery across 10 countries.

100 Mil Pisos para Jugar:
This regional housing campaign aims to replace 100,000 dirt floors with safe, concrete surfaces by 2028. HFH LAC is standardizing and improving data systems to ensure accurate targeting and transparent delivery. Over 30,000 household records have already been migrated and mapped, and a unified MEL system tracks progress across borders. By combining humanitarian response with robust data systems, HFH LAC is strengthening resilience and improving housing justice throughout the region—ensuring that families most at risk are not left behind.
