Heidi Burgess has dedicated the last 20 years of her career to social equality and environmental stewardship raising millions supporting Indigenous-led conservation, social justice, and community leadership initiatives on a global, national, and international scale. As the Senior Director of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships, she works with Individuals, Foundations and partners to help steer philanthropy into innovative work that can address our most pressing global challenges through land-tenure action.
Previously, Heidi has worked in philanthropy at United Way Toronto, WWF Canada and Nature United. Most recently, she was the Director of Philanthropy, Canada with African Wildlife Foundation and is currently the Chair of the Reaching for Rainbows Board which supports the healthy development of young girls through play. She graduated from McGill University with a BA and MLIS.
