Cadasta’s CEO Amy Coughenour Betancourt Appointed to the World Agriculture Forum Council

Cadasta is proud to announce that our CEO, Amy Coughenour Betancourt, has been appointed as a Council Member of the World Agriculture Forum (WAF). This distinguished appointment reflects Amy’s leadership in advancing land tenure security, climate resilience, and sustainable agriculture through innovative geospatial technology and community-driven solutions. 

The World Agriculture Forum convenes leading experts, policymakers, and industry pioneers to tackle pressing global challenges related to food security, rural development, and sustainable agriculture. As a council member, Amy will contribute her extensive experience leveraging land rights data-driven approaches to create more resilient and equitable food systems worldwide.

Amy’s appointment to the WAF Council underscores the importance of integrating geospatial data, participatory mapping, and innovative technology to support communities and inform better land governance and agricultural policies.

Amy brings decades of experience in land rights, food security, and rural development, including previous executive leadership roles at NCBA CLUSA and the Pan American Development Foundation, where she worked to strengthen agricultural cooperatives and economic resilience in rural communities. She is a recognized global advocate for land tenure, women’s land rights, and the role of geospatial technology in sustainable development.
